Public Notice: Appointment of External Auditors Derma Area Rural Bank Plc
In accordance with the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930) and the guidelines of the Bank of Ghana, Derma Area Rural Bank PLC invites applications from qualified and practicing auditing firms to provide external audit services for the 2026 financial year.
2. Scope of Work
The successful firm will be expected to:
a. Perform an independent audit of the Bank’s financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
b. Verify the Bank’s compliance with the ARB Apex Bank regulations and Bank of Ghana directives.
c. Provide a Management Letter detailing internal control recommendations.
d. Express an opinion on the financial position and performance of the Bank.
3. Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Interested firms must provide evidence of the following:
a. Registration: Valid certificate of incorporation and entitlement to practice in Ghana.
b. Professional Standing: Valid license from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
c. Experience: Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in auditing financial institutions, specifically Rural and Community Banks (RCBs).
d. BoG Approval: The firm must be on the Bank of Ghana’s list of approved auditors for banks and SDIs.
e. Tax Compliance: Valid GRA Tax Clearance and SSNIT Clearance Certificates.
4. Application Components
Submissions should include:
a. Technical Proposal: Firm profile, audit methodology, and resumes of the engagement partner and key team members.
b. Financial Proposal: Proposed audit fees and out-of-pocket expenses.
c. References: A list of at least three (3) similar clients in the banking sector.
